
Artist of eclectic training and activity, musicologist and performer dedicated exclusively to the medieval repertoire. He is a disciple of the tenor Josep Benet, and has studied philosophy, art history and musicology. He has been an associate professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and is currently finishing his doctoral thesis supervised by Maricarmen Gómez Muntané and Manuel Castiñeiras at this university.
Their performances combine musical practice with sets of their own authorship, set in heritage places that recreate dreamlike spaces of reflection and feeling. He also gives lectures in academic institutions and universities, illustrated with exhibitions of instruments and the interpretation of medieval music. He is also the author of books and specialized publications, as well as recordings of the medieval repertoire for the French Trob‘art label
From 2015 to 2022 he directed the European project Despertant instruments adormits, for the construction of replicas of the musical instruments of the Portal of Ripoll, an initiative of concerts, exhibitions, conferences and workshops with the music of the Scriptorium of Ripoll, which deserved funding from the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and which represented the UNESCO candidacy of the Portico of Ripoll throughout the world.
The Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya has commissioned him to create and direct the festival La Ciutat Perduda in the Archaeological and Heritage Complex of Olèrdola, and since 2017 a programme of instrument construction and musical interpretation in the Romanesque monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes.
Among his large-format artistic actions is Oliba episcopus, a creation for the Bishopric of Vic of various shows for the commemoration of the millennium of Bishop Oliba in some emblematic cathedrals and monasteries of Catalonia.
His work with the recreation of the musical instruments of the Portico de Ripoll has earned him the 2020 Prestigia National Crafts Award, awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In 2025, a new long-term international project has begun, the European Route of Troubadours and Minstrelsy, supported by various Spanish and French city councils, universities and institutions, and which has the financial support, among others, of the ESCAT-POCTEFA 2025-2027 project.
